Peyton, CO – Students, staff, and families at Peyton Jr.-Sr. High School will welcome a new leader this fall after the Peyton School District Board of Education named Michaela Logan as the Jr.-Sr. high school's next principal.
Logan previously served as the assistant principal for curriculum and instruction and state assessment coordinator at Panorama Middle School. Throughout her career, she has focused on supporting students, strengthening instruction, and helping schools create environments where all learners can succeed. Logan's experience includes leading instructional systems, supporting teacher growth, using data to improve student outcomes, and helping schools develop environments where students feel supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
Drawn to Peyton's strong sense of community and commitment to students, Logan believes the most successful schools are built on trust, shared values and a collective focus on student success. Her leadership philosophy centers on creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where students are challenged academically, supported socially and emotionally, and encouraged to grow into responsible young adults prepared for college, careers and life beyond high school.
As an instructional leader, Logan is committed to ensuring high-quality learning experiences in every classroom. She values student ownership, authentic learning opportunities, and strong partnerships among students, staff, families, and the community. She is also passionate about fostering student leadership and creating a culture in which every student feels a sense of belonging, while maintaining high expectations for learning and growth.

Board President Katie Harms said Logan's leadership philosophy aligns well with the values and goals of Peyton Schools. "Michaela's dedication to students and focus on building a positive school culture made her an outstanding fit for Peyton Jr.-Sr. High School," Harms said. "We are thrilled to welcome her to Peyton and look forward to the impact she will have on our students, staff and families."
Logan will begin her new role with Peyton School District mid-July.
