Remnant Community Network, in partnership with School District 11 and the Colorado Department of Education, launched its Summer Food Program on June 1st, bringing weekly meal support to rural communities across Peyton, Ellicott, and Calhan.
This program is specifically designed to serve rural families, where access to consistent summer meals can be limited. Children ages 18 and under will receive weekly support through a structured and accessible distribution model.
Families will receive a "Kids Food & Fun Box," including 7 days of breakfast and 7 days of lunch, fresh frutes and vegetables, nutritious food, and a fun surprise. Each box includes a simple menu guide to help families prepare and plan meals safely.
