Peyton Elementary PAWS Group

Peyton Elementary started a new program in 2013 called PAWS (Positive Academic Achievement Awards), which is an academic incentive program.   We have noticed in recent years that many of our students are not performing well on state testing (CSAP/PARCC), NWEA’s, and many have poor attendance records.  Our hope is that by providing an incentive to recognize students that dedicate themselves to doing their best in school on a daily basis, putting their all into testing, and attending school to learn every day will encourage others to follow.  Students receive incentives for having Perfect Attendance, A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, and increases on their NWEA scores at our quarterly and year end awards assemblies.  We are hoping that with our program we will be able to recognize every student with an incentive by the end of our school year.
